For golfers we recommend the nearby charming Poniente Golf Club and there are numerous other golf courses nearby – some fourteen courses within twenty minute drive – a golfer’s heaven.

The vast range of other activities in the immediate vicinity include: cycling, tennis, horse riding, scuba diving and snorkelling, clay pigeon shooting, go-karting, hiking, kayaking, walking, fishing, mountain biking, rock climbing and roller blading.

Culture addicts are well catered for as well. Palma has a wonderful historic quarter resplendent in its Moorish past, and Palma Cathedral is one of the best examples of French Gothic architecture in Europe. The impressive Tramuntana mountain range is a wonderful day trip taking in the picturesque pueblos of Valldemossa, Soller and Deia.

The nightlife on offer can be as wild or relaxed as your mood. The Palma clubs don’t really get going until the early hours of the morning and offer a youthful experience that brings the kids back time and time again. The old quarter of Palma boasts basement jazz clubs which make a good excuse to stroll late into the night after a relaxing meal. The restaurants in Palma and all over Mallorca offer a vast range of high quality cuisine – including many offering simple set menus and local specialities.
